Duke Nukem: Critical Mass is a full-on 3D shooter, much in the same spirit as the much loved 3D game on the PC, so old now that it actually ran on a 2.5D engine similar to the one used in Doom.
So far the camera angle for the new games hasn’t been pinned down, but Apogee has suggested that players will be able to switch between first- and third-person during play, and even a planned isometric viewpoint, all while exploring the same detailed 3D environment.
